Tongda Motors exports the Hyundai Elantra built in China by Beijing Hyundai, new, zero-mileage and used, to dealers and fleets outside China. The 2026 range has one engine, a 1.5-litre petrol with a CVT, in three versions. Every unit is inspected against its VIN, with photos, before you pay. From 10 units per order. THE MODEL
The seventh-generation Elantra, built for China.
In China the Elantra is sold as the 伊兰特 (Yilante) and built by Beijing Hyundai, the 50:50 joint venture of BAIC Motor and Hyundai Motor Company founded in 2002. The car on sale is the seventh-generation Elantra (CN7), launched in China in October 2020. The 2026 model year went on sale in mid-2026 with three versions, all with the same 1.5-litre engine and CVT.
The China car is 4,720 mm long, 1,810 mm wide and 1,415 mm tall on a 2,720 mm wheelbase, with a 474-litre boot and a 47-litre fuel tank. The 1.4-litre turbo N Line of earlier model years is no longer in the price list. Hyundai unveiled the eighth-generation Elantra in Korea in June 2026, with other markets due to get it in 2027; the China-built car remains the seventh generation.

How the China Elantra differs.
One engine: 1.5 litres with a CVT
The China Elantra has only Hyundai's 1.5-litre Smartstream petrol engine (G4FL, multi-point injection, no turbo): 84.5 kW (115 PS) and 143.9 N·m, with a CVT and front-wheel drive. The same generation is sold elsewhere with 1.6- and 2.0-litre petrol engines, a 1.6 hybrid or a 1.6 turbo N Line, depending on the market.
Seventh generation
Beijing Hyundai builds the seventh-generation Elantra (CN7). Hyundai revealed the eighth generation at the Busan show in June 2026; it goes on sale in Korea first, with other markets following in 2027. If your customers compare against the new model, quote the China car as the CN7.
China 6, 92 RON, left-hand drive
The engine is certified to China 6 emissions, broadly aligned with Euro 6, and rated for 92 RON petrol. Like every China-market car, the Elantra is left-hand drive.
Chinese-market software
Infotainment, navigation and connected services are set up for China. Menu languages and which functions work outside China are confirmed per VIN on the quotation.

Peru
A 1.5-litre sedan with WLTC consumption of 5.36–5.55 L/100 km, for dealer stock and fleets that watch running costs. Peru limits used imports by age and emissions, so we ship new or zero-mileage units to Callao with the China–Peru FTA certificate of origin. Hyundai Peru's own range did not include the Elantra in October 2026. See Peru.
Chile
Chile admits new vehicles only for general import, and Hyundai Chile's current range does not list the Elantra. Check with your customs broker that the China-spec 1.5 CVT can be homologated before you order; we supply the spec sheets. Qualifying units ship under the China–Chile FTA. See Chile.
UAE and Saudi Arabia
The China Elantra is a China-market car, not a Gulf-spec one. If your buyers expect hot-climate packages, check the specification with us before contract. Saudi Arabia requires SABER conformity certificates; in the UAE, free-zone landing suits re-export. See UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Nigeria
A naturally aspirated sedan with no turbo, for dealer lots. Duty and levies weigh heavily on landed cost, so we quote CIF Lagos and you work the duty with your clearing agent first. Used units are quoted only within Nigeria's current age limit. See Nigeria.

How much does a Hyundai Elantra from China cost?

Is the China-built Elantra the same as the Elantra sold in Latin America?
It is the same seventh-generation Elantra, but not the same drivetrain. The China car has a 1.5-litre engine (115 PS) with a CVT. When Hyundai launched this generation in Peru in 2021, it used a 1.6-litre engine (125 hp), plus a 1.6 turbo (201 hp) N Line, and in North America the base engine is a 2.0-litre. Engine and gearbox parts therefore differ from locally sold Elantras, so plan servicing before you order.
Can I still get the Elantra 1.4 turbo or N Line from China?
Not new. The 2026 China range lists only the 1.5-litre CVT; the 1.4-litre turbo versions, including the N Line, were sold in the 2021–2023 model years. Earlier units can be quoted as used cars where your country accepts used imports. Tongda Motors is approved by the Chinese authorities to export used vehicles, and every used unit is inspected against its VIN, with photos, before you pay. See used cars from China.
