Mercedes-Benz C-Class L: the long-wheelbase C-Class built in Beijing
The C-Class L is the long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz C-Class that Beijing Benz builds for the Chinese market, with 89 mm more wheelbase than the standard car. Every version on sale has a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with 48V mild hybrid and rear-wheel drive. THE MODEL
A C-Class stretched for China.
The C-Class L is the China-market version of the current (W206) Mercedes-Benz C-Class. It was shown at the Shanghai motor show in April 2021 and is built in Beijing by Beijing Benz Automotive (BBAC), the joint venture in which BAIC Motor holds 51% and Mercedes-Benz 49%. Its wheelbase is 2,954 mm, 89 mm longer than the standard C-Class, and the car is 4,882 mm long.
The 2026 model year, launched in November 2025, moved every version to a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder with a 48V mild-hybrid system and a 9-speed automatic, in two outputs: 125 kW (170 hp) in the C 200 L and 150 kW (204 hp) in the C 260 L. The four-wheel-drive C 260 L 4MATIC was dropped, so all versions now on sale are rear-wheel drive. Beijing Benz added the C 260 L Sport Classic in May 2026.

How the China C-Class L differs.
Longer wheelbase, more rear legroom
The wheelbase is 2,954 mm against 2,865 mm for the standard C-Class sold in Europe and most export markets, and the car is 4,882 mm long against 4,751 mm. The extra length goes into longer rear doors and rear legroom, so the rear doors are parts specific to the L.
One engine, rear-wheel drive
In China every C-Class L has the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol with 48V mild hybrid and a 9-speed automatic, at 170 or 204 hp. The current China line-up has no diesel, no plug-in hybrid and no 4MATIC, all of which are offered on the C-Class in other markets.
China 6 emissions and homologation
The car is certified to the China 6 emission standard. An approval for the standard C-Class in your market does not automatically cover the long-wheelbase China version, so homologation must be checked for this exact version before you order.
Left-hand drive, China-market software
All units are left-hand drive. MBUX runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, and the C 260 L, C 260 L Sport and C 260 L Night Sport add navigation-assisted driving and a digital key, all set up for the Chinese market. Chile

The C-Class L is a China-specification car, not a Gulf-spec one, so check cooling and climate equipment per VIN.
