Mercedes-Benz GLC L: the long-wheelbase GLC built in Beijing
The GLC L is the long-wheelbase GLC SUV that Beijing Benz builds for the Chinese market, with 89 mm more wheelbase than the standard GLC and a seven-seat option. Every version on sale has a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine with 48V mild hybrid and 4MATIC all-wheel drive. THE MODEL
The GLC, stretched for China.
The GLC L is the China-market version of the second-generation (X254) Mercedes-Benz GLC. It has been on sale since 2023 and is built in Beijing by Beijing Benz Automotive (BBAC), the joint venture in which BAIC Motor holds 51% and Mercedes-Benz 49%. It is 4,826 mm long on a 2,977 mm wheelbase, against 4,716 mm and 2,888 mm for the standard GLC.
Every version uses a 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder with a 48V mild-hybrid system, a 9-speed automatic and 4MATIC all-wheel drive: 150 kW (204 hp) and 320 Nm in the GLC 260 L, 190 kW (258 hp) and 400 Nm in the GLC 300 L. The battery-electric GLC L launched in China in July 2026 is a different car, built on Mercedes-Benz's new MB.EA electric platform with a 3,027 mm wheelbase; this page covers the petrol GLC L only.

Longer wheelbase, more rear room
The wheelbase is 2,977 mm against 2,888 mm for the standard GLC sold in Europe and most export markets, and the SUV is 4,826 mm long against 4,716 mm. The extra length goes to rear-seat space.
Five or seven seats
The GLC 300 L 4MATIC Dynamic is listed with five seats or with seven in three rows. The other versions on sale are listed with five seats. We state the seat layout of every unit on the quotation.
One petrol engine, always 4MATIC
In China every GLC L has the 2.0-litre turbo petrol with 48V mild hybrid, a 9-speed automatic and 4MATIC all-wheel drive, at 204 or 258 hp. The diesel and plug-in hybrid GLCs sold in other markets are not part of the China L line-up.
China 6, left-hand drive, China-market software
The GLC L is certified to the China 6 emission standard, left-hand drive, and its infotainment and driver-assistance software are set up for China. An approval for the standard GLC in your market does not automatically cover the L, so check homologation for this exact version, and we confirm the software language on the quotation.

Chile
Chile broadly bars used passenger-car imports into the mainland, so for Chilean registration we quote new units; your customs broker confirms how a zero-mileage unit registered in China is treated.
