Mazda EZ-60: the CX-6e electric SUV built in China

The Mazda EZ-60 is a mid-size SUV built in Nanjing by Changan Mazda and sold outside China as the Mazda CX-6e. In China it comes as a battery-electric version with 600 km of CLTC range or as a range-extender (EREV) version with a 1.5-litre petrol generator, both with a 190 kW rear motor. Tongda Motors exports new, zero-mileage and used units to dealers and fleets, each inspected against its VIN before you pay, with a battery state-of-health report.

THE MODEL

A Mazda SUV on a Changan platform.

The EZ-60 was developed by Mazda with Changan on Changan's EPA1 platform, which it shares with the EZ-6 sedan and the Deepal S07. Changan Mazda, the two companies' 50:50 joint venture, builds it in Nanjing. It was revealed at Auto Shanghai in April 2025 and went on sale in China on 26 September 2025; Mazda shows the same model in Europe and Australia as the CX-6e. It is 4,850 mm long and 1,935 mm wide, on a 2,902 mm wheelbase.

Both versions drive the rear wheels with one 190 kW, 290 Nm motor. The battery-electric EZ-60 has a 77.94 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery for 600 km CLTC; the range-extender version adds a 1.5-litre petrol engine that only charges a 31.73 kWh LFP battery, with 200 km of electric range. The 2027 line-up, launched on 26 September 2026, has nine versions in Air, Pro and Max trims, and the LiDAR versions add a roof-mounted lidar for assisted driving. Inside are a 26.45-inch 5K screen across the dashboard and a 50-inch AR head-up display.

These are the 2027 versions; LiDAR is 激光版. Range is CLTC, which reads higher than WLTP; the EREV figure is electric-only range on its 31.73 kWh battery. 2025 and 2026 units, including the Year of the Horse (马年版) and Sport (运动版) editions, are quoted from stock. The export price is quoted per version, volume and destination. See also electric cars from China.

CHINA VS EXPORT

How the China EZ-60 differs.

China car, not the European CX-6e

The EZ-60 we export is the China-market car, left-hand drive and built to Chinese standards. Mazda's European CX-6e uses a different battery (79.97 kWh NMC) and its own equipment, so an approval for the CX-6e in your market does not automatically cover the EZ-60. Confirm homologation for the exact version before you order.

GB/T charging

China-market EZ-60s have GB/T charging inlets for AC and DC, not the CCS2 inlet of the European CX-6e. In a CCS2 market your buyers need GB/T charging equipment or adapters; confirm what local chargers support before you order.

A range-extender option

Besides the battery-electric version, China offers the EZ-60 as an EREV: the 1.5-litre petrol engine only generates power, and the car always drives on its electric motor. It runs on petrol where charging is scarce, so it suits markets with few public chargers.

China-market software and driver assistance

The 26.45-inch screen runs China-market software, with the Doubao assistant and iFlytek voice control, and the assisted driving is tuned for Chinese roads. We confirm the menu language and which connected and assisted-driving functions work outside China on the quotation.

WHERE IT FITS

Where the EZ-60 fits.

Chile

Chile broadly bars used passenger-car imports into the mainland, so for Chilean registration we quote new units; your customs broker confirms how a zero-mileage unit registered in China is treated. Check the homologation of the China version and how local chargers handle a GB/T inlet before you order. See import cars to Chile.

Peru

Peru drives on the right, so the left-hand-drive China EZ-60 needs no conversion. Where public charging is limited, the EREV version runs on petrol between charges. Used imports are limited by age and emissions, so new and zero-mileage units clear most cleanly. Confirm the FTA duty rate and homologation with your customs broker. See import cars to Peru.

UAE and Saudi Arabia

The China EZ-60 is a China-specification car, not Gulf-spec, so check battery cooling and climate equipment per VIN. Saudi Arabia requires conformity certificates through SABER, which must be confirmed for the China version; the UAE free zone also suits re-export. See UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Nigeria

Duties and levies are a large part of landed cost in Nigeria, so we quote CIF Lagos and you work out the duty with your clearing agent first. With unreliable grid power, the EREV version is the practical choice. Each unit ships with a battery state-of-health reading and UN38.3 and MSDS documents for the battery. QUESTIONS

Mazda EZ-60 questions, answered.

How much does a Mazda EZ-60 from China cost?

Send whether you want the battery-electric or the range-extender version, the trim (Air, Pro or Max, with or without LiDAR), the quantity and the destination port, and we reply within 24 hours with a quotation on FOB, CIF or DAP terms.

Is the Mazda EZ-60 the same car as the CX-6e?

It is the same model, but the CX-6e is the version Mazda prepares for Europe and other export markets. The EZ-60 we export is the China-market car from Changan Mazda in Nanjing, as a battery-electric or range-extender version, with a GB/T charging inlet and China-market software. We confirm the exact version and equipment per VIN.

Does the China EZ-60 use CCS2 or GB/T charging?

GB/T, for both AC and DC charging, like every China-market car; the European CX-6e uses CCS2. Check that chargers in your market can serve a GB/T inlet, or plan GB/T wallboxes or adapters; we confirm the inlet type per VIN. The EREV version can also run on petrol when no charger is available.

Can I order zero-mileage or used EZ-60s?

Yes. Tongda Motors is approved by the Chinese authorities to export used vehicles, and every unit is photographed and inspected against its VIN before you pay, with a battery state-of-health report. Units from 2025 and 2026 have earlier trim names and no lidar, so we state version, battery and mileage per VIN. Chile broadly bars used passenger cars and Peru limits them by age and emissions. See used cars from China.
