THE BRAND
Tiggo SUVs, Arrizo sedans and a family of brands.
Chery is a Chinese carmaker based in Wuhu, Anhui province, and its core range runs on petrol: Tiggo SUVs and Arrizo sedans, from the naturally aspirated 1.5 in the Arrizo 5 to the 1.6- and 2.0-litre turbos in the Tiggo 8 Plus, Tiggo 9 and Arrizo 8. In China its plug-in hybrids are sold as C-DM versions of the Tiggo or under the separate Fulwin badge. The group also owns Exeed and Jetour, plus Omoda and Jaecoo, which are sold only outside China.
Chery's names change at the border, which trips up first-time buyers. The Tiggo 5x is sold abroad as the Tiggo 4 or Tiggo 4 Pro, the Tiggo 7 Plus as the Tiggo 7 Pro or Pro Max, and the Tiggo 8 Plus as the Tiggo 8 Pro or Pro Max, while China also sells a different car of its own called the Tiggo 8 Pro. Several Omoda and Jaecoo models are versions of China-market Chery cars: the Jaecoo J7 went on sale in China as the Chery Tansuo 06. Our quotations give both names on every line, tied to the VIN.

Check the spec, not just the name
A China-market Tiggo 7 Plus or Tiggo 8 Plus can differ from the Tiggo 7 Pro or 8 Pro sold in your market in styling, equipment and software language. We state the China-market specification per VIN on the quotation, so you can compare it with your local range before you pay.
Petrol first, C-DM where fuel is dear
The petrol Tiggos and Arrizos suit dealer stock and fleets in markets where charging is scarce. Where fuel is expensive, the C-DM plug-in hybrids are an option: they ship with a battery state-of-health reading plus UN38.3 and MSDS, and the charging standard is confirmed per model.
Sedans for taxi and ride-hailing
The Arrizo 5, with a naturally aspirated 1.5 and a manual or CVT gearbox, and the larger Arrizo 8 are Chery's sedan options for taxi and ride-hailing fleets. Tell us how the cars will be registered in your market and we match the version to it.

Is the Chinese Tiggo 8 Plus the same car as the Tiggo 8 Pro?
Yes. Tiggo 8 Plus is the China-market name of the SUV sold abroad as the Tiggo 8 Pro or Tiggo 8 Pro Max. China also sells a different model called the Tiggo 8 Pro, so we quote by China-market name and VIN and state the export equivalent on every line.
Which Chery models suit importers best?
