THE BRAND
Two ranges under one badge.
Geely is the core car brand of Zhejiang Geely Holding, the group that also controls Volvo Cars, Lynk & Co and the premium electric brand Zeekr. In China it sells two ranges side by side: Geely-badged petrol and hybrid cars such as the Binyue, Emgrand, Boyue L and Xingyue L, and Geely Galaxy, its new-energy series of battery-electric cars and EM-i plug-in hybrids.
Many Geelys are sold abroad under other names, and some names point to different cars in different markets. The Binyue is the Coolray, the Xingyue L the Monjaro, the Galaxy E5 the EX5 and the Xingyuan the EX2, while "Starray" is used for the Boyue L in some markets and for the Galaxy Starship 7 EM-i in others. Our quotations list the China-market name, the export name and the VIN on every line.

Petrol, hybrid and electric in one order
With Geely, a single order can combine petrol SUVs such as the Coolray and Monjaro with Galaxy EVs and EM-i plug-in hybrids. They load in the same shipment and travel under one document pack: commercial invoice, packing list with VINs, bill of lading, certificate of origin, export declaration and inspection report.
Charging plug and screen language
China-market Galaxy models use GB/T charging and Chinese-language software, and export versions such as the EX5 and EX2 can differ. We confirm the charging standard and software language per model on the quotation, before you pay.
Battery papers for Galaxy models
Galaxy BEVs and EM-i plug-in hybrids ship with a battery state-of-health reading plus the UN38.3 test summary and MSDS that carriers ask for. Petrol Geelys travel with the standard document pack.

Geely questions, answered.
Is the Geely Binyue the same car as the Coolray?
Yes. The Binyue is sold abroad as the Coolray, just as the Xingyue L is the Monjaro and the Galaxy E5 is the EX5. Equipment, charging standard and software can still differ between the China-market and export versions, so the quotation names the exact version and VIN you are buying.
Can I buy Geely cars directly from China?
Yes, if you buy for resale or for a fleet and order at least 10 units. We buy Geelys on the Chinese market and ship them FOB, CIF or DAP from Nansha, Shekou or Guangzhou. Tongda Motors is an independent exporter with no link to Geely's official distribution, so ask your customs agent how your market handles parallel imports first.
Which Geely models suit markets with few chargers?
The Coolray, Emgrand and Monjaro need no charging at all, and the Galaxy Starship 7 EM-i plug-in hybrid keeps running on petrol once its battery is empty. Where charging is in place, the Xingyuan (EX2) and Galaxy E5 (EX5) are the electric options to look at. Tell us your market and we suggest a mix.
