BYD Sea Lion 07 EV: the Sealion 7 built in China
The BYD Sea Lion 07 EV 海狮07 EV is the mid-size electric SUV of BYD's Ocean series, sold abroad as the Sealion 7. China-market cars have BYD's Blade LFP battery, rear- or all-wheel drive and 550 or 610 km CLTC. Tongda Motors exports new, zero-mileage and used units to dealers, fleets and importers, each inspected against its VIN before you pay, with a battery state-of-health report.

THE MODEL
The Ocean series' electric SUV.
The Sea Lion 07 EV went on sale in China in May 2024 as the first car on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 Evo, with the Blade battery integrated into the body (CTB). It is 4,830 mm long on a 2,930 mm wheelbase and is built in Xi'an and Changzhou. In BYD's Ocean series the Seal (海豹) names are sedans and the Sea Lion (海狮) names are SUVs; abroad, BYD sells this car as the Sealion 7.
The last China versions are the 2025 model year, released in February 2025: two "Smart Navigation" and two "Smart Driving" versions with a 170 kW or 230 kW rear motor, or 390 kW from two motors with all-wheel drive. The 550 km rear-wheel-drive car has a 71.8 kWh battery; the 610 km cars and the all-wheel drive have 80.64 kWh. In July 2026 BYD took the Sea Lion 07 EV off its China retail line-up and moved production to export, so China supply is now remaining dealer stock, zero-mileage and used cars.

These are the 2025 model-year versions, the last sold new in China. Trim names are translated from Chinese: Smart Navigation is 智航版 and Smart Driving is 智驾版; the AWD version is 550四驱智驾版. 2024 cars were sold as Standard (标准版), Long Range (长续航版) and Smart Navigation. Not the Sea Lion 07 DM-i
BYD also sold a Sea Lion 07 DM-i plug-in hybrid in China from May 2025, but it is a different car: a restyled Frigate 07 with a 1.5-litre turbo, 4,880 mm long on a 2,820 mm wheelbase. The Sealion 7 sold abroad is the EV, so we quote by exact name and version per VIN.
GB/T charging
China-market Sea Lion 07 EVs have GB/T charging inlets for AC and DC, not the CCS2 inlet of European Sealion 7s. DC charging peaks at up to 180 kW on the 550 RWD and up to 240 kW on the other versions. In a CCS2 market your buyers need GB/T equipment or adapters.
China batteries and platform
China cars use 71.8 or 80.64 kWh packs on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo. Most export Sealion 7s are built on the older 400 V e-Platform 3.0 with 71.8, 82.56 or 91.3 kWh, so specifications and ranges do not match one to one; we state battery and range per VIN.
Supply after the China exit
Since July 2026 the Sea Lion 07 EV is no longer offered new to Chinese retail buyers. We source remaining new dealer stock while it lasts, plus zero-mileage and used units, and state the model year, version and mileage of each car. The screen runs China-market software; we confirm the menu language on the quotation.

Chile
Chile broadly bars used passenger-car imports into the mainland, so for Chilean registration we quote new units while dealer stock lasts; your customs broker confirms how a zero-mileage unit registered in China is treated. Peru
Peru drives on the right, so the left-hand-drive China Sea Lion 07 EV needs no conversion. Used imports are limited by age and emissions, so new and zero-mileage units clear most cleanly. UAE and Saudi Arabia
The China Sea Lion 07 EV is a China-specification car, not Gulf-spec, so check battery cooling and climate equipment per VIN. Saudi Arabia requires conformity certificates through SABER, which must be confirmed for the China version; the UAE free zone also suits re-export. See UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Duties and levies are a large part of landed cost in Nigeria, so we quote CIF Lagos and you work out the duty with your clearing agent first.
