BYD Yuan Plus and Atto 3: the electric SUV from China
In China BYD sells its compact electric SUV as the Yuan Plus (元PLUS); abroad the same car is the Atto 3. The third generation, launched in May 2026, is rear-wheel drive with 540 or 630 km of CLTC range and BYD flash charging. Tongda Motors exports new, zero-mileage and used units to dealers, fleets and importers, each inspected against its VIN before you pay, with a battery state-of-health report.

THE MODEL
One SUV, two names.
The Yuan Plus is the compact SUV of BYD's Dynasty series and has been exported as the Atto 3 since 2022. The first generation, on sale in China from February 2022, was front-wheel drive with a 150 kW motor and a 49.92 or 60.48 kWh Blade LFP battery, giving 430 or 510 km CLTC, on a 4,455 mm body. BYD counts more than 1.1 million Yuan Plus sales worldwide.
The third generation went on sale in China on 21 May 2026 and replaced the earlier versions in the price list. It moves to e-Platform 3.0 Evo and rear-wheel drive, with a 200 kW or 240 kW motor and a 57.5 or 68.5 kWh second-generation Blade battery for 540 or 630 km CLTC. It is 4,665 mm long on a 2,770 mm wheelbase, with a 180-litre front trunk and a head-up display. Flash charging, 10–70 % in about five minutes at BYD's flash chargers, is standard; God's Eye B (DiPilot 300) with lidar is optional above the base version.

How the China Yuan Plus differs.
Yuan Plus in China, Atto 3 abroad
The car is sold as the Yuan Plus in China and in several Latin American countries, and as the Atto 3 elsewhere. We quote by the China-market name and VIN and state the export equivalent on every line.
GB/T charging and flash charging
China-market cars have GB/T charging inlets for AC and DC, not the CCS2 inlet of export Atto 3s. The five-minute flash-charging figure needs BYD's flash-charging stations; on other chargers the speed depends on the charger. In a CCS2 market plan GB/T equipment or adapters.
New generation, new layout
The 2026 car is rear-wheel drive and 210 mm longer than the front-wheel-drive Yuan Plus of 2022–2025, with larger batteries and more power. The earlier generation is available as zero-mileage and used units, and we state the generation per VIN.
China-market software
The centre screen and the driver assistance run BYD's China-market software, with Chinese navigation and connected services. We confirm the menu language, whether the lidar option is fitted and which functions work outside China on the quotation.

Chile
Chile broadly bars used passenger-car imports into the mainland, so for Chilean registration we quote new units; your customs broker confirms how a zero-mileage unit registered in China is treated. Peru
Peru drives on the right, so the left-hand-drive China Yuan Plus needs no conversion. Used imports are limited by age and emissions, so new and zero-mileage units clear most cleanly. UAE and Saudi Arabia
The China Yuan Plus is a China-specification car, not Gulf-spec, so check battery cooling and climate equipment per VIN. Saudi Arabia requires conformity certificates through SABER, which must be confirmed for the China version; the UAE free zone also suits re-export. See UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Nigeria
Duties and levies are a large part of landed cost in Nigeria, so we quote CIF Lagos and you work out the duty with your clearing agent first. Are the Yuan Plus and the Atto 3 the same car?
Yes. Yuan Plus is the name in China and Atto 3 the name in most export markets. The China-market car differs in specification: GB/T charging inlets and China-market software. The third generation, sold in China since May 2026, is rear-wheel drive with 200 kW or 240 kW and 540 or 630 km CLTC.
Does the China Yuan Plus use CCS2 or GB/T charging?
GB/T, for both AC and DC charging, like every China-market car. Export Atto 3s use CCS2. Check that chargers in your market can serve a GB/T inlet, or plan GB/T wallboxes or adapters; we confirm the inlet type per VIN.
Can I order zero-mileage or used Yuan Plus units?
Yes. Tongda Motors is approved by the Chinese authorities to export used vehicles, and every unit is photographed and inspected against its VIN before you pay, with a battery state-of-health report. Used units from 2022–2025 are the front-wheel-drive earlier generation with 430 or 510 km CLTC, so we state generation, battery and mileage per VIN.
