BYD Seal: the electric sports sedan built in China
The BYD Seal 海豹 is the battery-electric sports sedan of BYD's Ocean series, sold under the same name in China and abroad. The current China line-up has an 800 V system, BYD's Blade LFP battery, rear- or all-wheel drive and up to 650 km CLTC. Tongda Motors exports new, zero-mileage and used units to dealers, fleets and importers, each inspected against its VIN before you pay, with a battery state-of-health report.

THE MODEL
BYD's electric sports sedan.
The Seal went on sale in China in July 2022 as the second car of BYD's Ocean series, the line-up sold through BYD's Ocean dealer network (海洋网) alongside the Dolphin, Seagull and Sea Lion. It is a 4,800 mm sedan on a 2,920 mm wheelbase, built in Changzhou and Xi'an, with the Blade battery forming part of the body structure. The plain name "Seal" means this electric sedan only: the Seal 05 DM-i, Seal 06, Seal 07 and Seal 08 are separate models.
The current China line-up is the 2025 model year, launched in August 2024 on BYD's 800 V e-Platform 3.0 Evo; it charges from 10 to 80 % in about 25 minutes. Since February 2025 it has four versions: two "Smart Navigation" versions with BYD's camera-based God's Eye C driver assistance, and two "Smart Driving" versions with God's Eye B and a roof-mounted lidar, which made the Seal BYD's first car with lidar. Batteries are 61.44 kWh (510 km CLTC) or 80.64 kWh (650 km rear-wheel drive, 600 km all-wheel drive).

Trim names are translated from Chinese: Smart Navigation is 智航版 and Smart Driving is 智驾版; the AWD version is 600四驱智驾版. Range is CLTC, which reads higher than WLTP. The export price is quoted per version, volume and destination. See also electric cars from China.

How the China Seal differs.
Seal is not Seal 06 or Seal 07
BYD's Ocean series numbers its newer cars: the Seal 05 DM-i, Seal 06 and Seal 07 come as plug-in hybrids or EVs with different bodies and prices. The plain Seal is the electric sports sedan only, with no DM-i version, so we quote by exact name and version per VIN.
GB/T charging
China-market Seals have GB/T charging inlets for AC and DC, not the CCS2 inlet of European Seals. In a CCS2 market your buyers need GB/T charging equipment or adapters; confirm what local chargers support before you order.
China batteries and 800 V
The 2025 China Seal uses 61.44 or 80.64 kWh packs on the 800 V e-Platform 3.0 Evo, while export Seals are listed with 61.4 or 82.5 kWh. Older China Seals from 2022–2024 have different packs and ranges (550, 650 or 700 km), so we state battery and range per VIN.
China-market software
The screen and the God's Eye driver assistance run BYD's China-market software, with Chinese navigation and map-based functions such as city navigation assist. We confirm the menu language and which functions work outside China on the quotation.

Chile
Chile broadly bars used passenger-car imports into the mainland, so for Chilean registration we quote new units; your customs broker confirms how a zero-mileage unit registered in China is treated. Peru
Peru drives on the right, so the left-hand-drive China Seal needs no conversion. Used imports are limited by age and emissions, so new and zero-mileage units clear most cleanly. UAE and Saudi Arabia
The China Seal is a China-specification car, not Gulf-spec, so check battery cooling and climate equipment per VIN. Saudi Arabia requires conformity certificates through SABER, which must be confirmed for the China version; the UAE free zone also suits re-export. See UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Nigeria
Duties and levies are a large part of landed cost in Nigeria, so we quote CIF Lagos and you work out the duty with your clearing agent first. How much does a BYD Seal from China cost?
Send the version or range (510 km, 650 km or 600 km AWD), the quantity and the destination port, and we reply within 24 hours with a quotation on FOB, CIF or DAP terms.
Is the BYD Seal the same as the Seal 06 or Seal 07?
No. The Seal is BYD's 4,800 mm electric sports sedan, sold since 2022. The Seal 06 and Seal 07 are newer, separate Ocean-series models offered as DM-i plug-in hybrids or EVs, and the Seal 05 DM-i is a smaller plug-in hybrid. Tell us the exact name and we quote that model.
Does the China Seal use CCS2 or GB/T charging?
GB/T, for both AC and DC charging, like every China-market car. Export Seals sold by BYD in Europe use CCS2. Check that chargers in your market can serve a GB/T inlet, or plan GB/T wallboxes or adapters; we confirm the inlet type per VIN.
Can I order zero-mileage or used Seals?
Yes. Tongda Motors is approved by the Chinese authorities to export used vehicles, and every unit is photographed and inspected against its VIN before you pay, with a battery state-of-health report. Used Seals from 2022–2024 have no lidar and different battery and range figures, so we state version, battery and mileage per VIN.
