The Song Pro DM-i is a compact plug-in hybrid SUV from BYD's Dynasty series, one size below the Song Plus. It pairs a 1.5-litre engine with a 120 kW electric motor and front-wheel drive, with 133 km, 220 km or 301 km of CLTC electric range. THE MODEL
A compact SUV that runs mostly on electricity.
The Song Pro DM-i 宋Pro DM-i is BYD's compact plug-in hybrid SUV, sold through its Dynasty network. The second generation, launched on 23 September 2024, moved to BYD's fifth-generation DM hybrid system. It is 4,735 mm long and 1,860 mm wide on a 2,712 mm wheelbase, with a 1.5-litre engine (74 kW) and a 120 kW front motor driving the front wheels through BYD's E-CVT.
The 2026 Song Pro DM-i first came with an 18.3 kWh Blade LFP battery for 133 km of CLTC electric range. On 22 April 2026 BYD added the "Feichi" edition (飞驰版) with larger batteries for 220 km or 301 km, a combined range of up to 1,735 km and NEDC consumption of 3.2 L/100 km with the battery depleted. DiPilot 100 driver assistance and DiSus-C adaptive damping are standard on the Feichi edition, and a lidar package (DiPilot 300) is optional.

Trim names are translated from Chinese: Feichi is 飞驰版, Pilot 领航版, Leading 领先型, Surpass 超越型, Excellence 卓越型. Every version has the 1.5-litre engine (74 kW) and a 120 kW motor. How the Song Pro DM-i differs.
Song Pro, Song Plus or Sea Lion 05
The Song Pro is the compact Song, shorter than the Song Plus, whose DM-i is sold abroad as the Sealion 6 or Seal U DM-i. BYD's Ocean network sells a near twin, the Sea Lion 05 DM-i, with almost identical specifications and different styling. We quote by China-market name and VIN.
Three battery sizes
The same 2026 model year comes with 133 km, 220 km or 301 km of CLTC electric range, and earlier cars have less (the 2024 second generation had 75 km or 115 km). We state the battery and range per VIN so you know exactly what you are buying.
GB/T charging and China software
China-market Song Pro units have GB/T charging inlets, not CCS2, and run BYD's China-market DiLink software with Chinese navigation. We confirm the inlet type, the menu language and which connected functions work outside China on the quotation.
Left-hand drive and China 6
Every China-market Song Pro DM-i is left-hand drive and certified to the China 6 emission standard. An approval for a BYD sold in your market does not automatically cover this China version, so confirm homologation for the exact version before you order.

Chile
Chile broadly bars used passenger-car imports into the mainland, so for Chilean registration we quote new units; your customs broker confirms how a zero-mileage unit registered in China is treated. Peru
Peru drives on the right, so the left-hand-drive China Song Pro needs no conversion. A plug-in hybrid runs on electricity for daily trips and on petrol where charging is thin, which suits family buyers and fleets. UAE and Saudi Arabia
The China Song Pro is a China-specification car, not Gulf-spec, so check battery cooling and climate equipment per VIN. Saudi Arabia requires conformity certificates through SABER, which must be confirmed for the China version; the UAE free zone also suits re-export. See UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Nigeria
Duties and levies are a large part of landed cost in Nigeria, so we quote CIF Lagos and you work out the duty with your clearing agent first.
