Tongda Motors exports Dongfeng Tianlong heavy trucks and Tianjin medium trucks from Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle to dealers, fleets and contractors outside China. Engines come from Dongfeng's own engine company or from Dongfeng Cummins. Every truck is inspected against its VIN, with photos, before you pay.

THE MAKER
Built in Shiyan, where Dongfeng began.
Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle (DFCV) holds most of Dongfeng's heavy and medium truck business and is based in Shiyan, Hubei, where Dongfeng started in 1969 as the Second Automobile Works. Its heavy trucks are sold as Dongfeng Tianlong and its medium trucks as Dongfeng Tianjin. Engines and gearboxes come from Dongfeng Loong-gine Power, a DFCV company formed in 2022 from its engine and gearbox plants, and Dongfeng Cummins, a 50:50 joint venture of Dongfeng and Cummins, supplies Cummins engines.
DFCV exported 20,000 trucks in 2024 and aimed for 30,000 in 2025. It has assembled Tianlong VL heavy trucks and Tianjin VR medium trucks from kits in Nigeria since 2019, and in 2025 Dongfeng's export company delivered the first 200 trucks of a 1,600-unit order for a Nigerian customer. The same year Dongfeng launched three trucks tailored for the region in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and opened a Dongfeng truck flagship store in Santiago, Chile.

Which Dongfeng?
Several Dongfeng group companies build trucks. Tianlong and Tianjin come from Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle in Shiyan; Chenglong trucks come from Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor in Guangxi. Tell us which one you mean; we can source both.
Engines and gearboxes
Dongfeng Loong-gine Power builds Dongfeng's DDi diesel and DGi gas engines and its own gearboxes, and Dongfeng Cummins engines are also fitted to Tianlong trucks. If your fleet already runs Cummins, ask for that option.
Dump trucks
In China, Dongfeng sells its dump trucks under the Tuoxing name, for muck, sand, gravel and short-haul coal work. Tell us the drive, body volume and material and we quote matching units. See dump trucks from China.
Parts abroad and emission level
Dongfeng trucks are left-hand drive as built. DFCV lists three overseas kit-assembly bases and nine overseas parts warehouses; check parts supply in your country before a fleet order. Trucks built for China since July 2021 meet China VI, largely equivalent to Euro VI; we confirm the emission level per truck on the quotation.

Is Dongfeng Tianlong the same as Dongfeng Chenglong?
No. Tianlong (heavy) and Tianjin (medium) trucks are built by Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle in Shiyan, Hubei. Chenglong trucks are built by Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor in Liuzhou, Guangxi. Both are Dongfeng group companies, and we can quote either.
Does Dongfeng have trucks in Nigeria?
Yes. Dongfeng has assembled Tianlong VL and Tianjin VR trucks from kits in Nigeria since 2019, and in 2025 its export company began delivering a 1,600-truck order to a Nigerian customer. We ship complete trucks to Nigeria as well; see exporting to Nigeria.
