Tongda Motors exports Chinese tractor units, also called prime movers, for long-haul freight and port work. The listed range runs from the HOWO-7 at 266 PS to the Foton Auman Galaxy at up to 660 hp, in 4x2, 6x2 and 6x4. You supply the semi-trailer; we quote the tractor.

THE CONFIGURATION
A tractor unit is quoted against the load it pulls.
The tractor is the truck without the trailer. To quote one we need the routes, the gross combination weight you intend to pull, the drive, and the emission level your country registers. Axle ratio, gearbox and fifth-wheel height follow from that, and they are stated per truck on the quotation. We do not publish a single horsepower as the right one.
Flagship long-haul tractors in this range are the Sinotruk HOWO T7H (300–540 hp), the Shacman X6000 (480–600 PS), the FAW Jiefang J7 and the Foton Auman Galaxy (up to 660 hp). Lighter 4x2 tractors, such as the HOWO-7, suit shorter runs and port work.

HOWO: MC or Weichai, HW gearbox
A HOWO tractor has a Sinotruk MC engine or a Weichai WP, up to the WP15 on the MAX at 580 hp. Most use Sinotruk's own HW manual gearbox. ZF is listed for the TX, T7H and MAX, and the T7H is the long-haul series, at 300–540 hp.
Shacman X6000
The X6000 is Shacman's flagship tractor, dump and cargo truck: 480–600 PS, Weichai or Cummins, FAST, Eaton or ZF gearboxes, and an air-suspended cab. Shacman lists it at Euro III to Euro VI, and as 4x2, 6x2, 6x4 and 8x4.
Jiefang J7 and J6P
Heavy Jiefang tractors use FAW's own CA6DM engines, including the 13-litre CA6DM3, with FAW CA12TAX or ZF 16-speed gearboxes. The J7 is the flagship. At the April 2026 Canton Fair an LNG J7 tractor was shown as CORTRON CH.
Foton and Dongfeng
Foton's Auman tractors pair a Foton Cummins engine with a Foton ZF automated gearbox. The Auman Galaxy is listed up to 660 hp, and the Auman R was developed with Daimler Truck. Dongfeng's long-haul tractors are the Tianlong KL and the flagship Tianlong KX, with Dongfeng or Cummins engines.

What is the price of a Chinese tractor truck?

Which Chinese tractor is for long haul?
The long-haul flagships are the HOWO T7H, the Shacman X6000, the FAW Jiefang J7 and the Foton Auman Galaxy. A 4x2 HOWO-7 is the lighter end, for shorter runs. Power on these pages runs from 266 PS to 660 hp across the five makers, not on one truck.
Do you supply the trailer as well?
We quote the tractor unit. If you also need a semi-trailer, say so in the inquiry and we will tell you whether we can source that trailer for the same shipment. The tractor quotation states fifth-wheel height, axle ratio and gearbox so the trailer can be matched.
