THE MAKER
China's largest heavy-truck exporter.
HOWO is the main truck brand of Sinotruk, the China National Heavy Duty Truck Group (CNHTC), a state-owned maker based in Jinan, Shandong. Since 2019 its controlling shareholder has been Shandong Heavy Industry, the group that also owns engine maker Weichai. Sinotruk's second truck brand is SITRAK. German truck maker MAN bought a 25% stake in Hong Kong-listed Sinotruk in 2009 and licensed it engine, chassis and axle technology.
In 2025 Sinotruk exported more than 150,000 heavy trucks, up over 14%, and it has been China's top heavy-truck exporter for 21 years in a row. Its export arm, Sinotruk International, reports sales in more than 150 countries and regions and lists sales managers for Nigeria, Peru, Chile, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. In Nigeria, CFAO Equipment has been an official HOWO co-distributor since late 2022.

MC or Weichai engines
Depending on series, a HOWO has Sinotruk's own MC engine (MC07, MC11 or MC13) or a Weichai WP engine (WP10 and WP12 on most series, up to WP15 on the MAX). If your workshops already service one family, tell us and we quote that option where the series offers it.
HW gearboxes as standard
Most HOWOs use Sinotruk's own HW manual gearboxes, from 9 to 16 speeds. ZF gearboxes are listed for the TX, T7H and MAX, and Allison automatics for the TX.
Emission level
Sinotruk lists Euro II to Euro V for the HOWO-7, and the engine model on each quotation shows the level. Trucks built for China since July 2021 meet China VI, largely equivalent to Euro VI, and are designed for China's 10 ppm-sulphur diesel. If diesel in your market is higher in sulphur, ask us to compare a used China VI truck with a new export build.
Left-hand drive and service
HOWOs are left-hand drive as built, which suits Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Peru and Chile. Sinotruk International reports more than 3,770 service outlets worldwide; check parts supply with your local Sinotruk network before a fleet order.

What is the price of a Sinotruk HOWO truck?
It depends on the series, engine, drive (4x2, 6x4 or 8x4), body and emission level, and on the port of delivery. Send us the configuration and your port, for example a HOWO TX 6x4 dump truck with 400 HP, CIF Lagos, and we reply within 24 hours with a quotation. Export prices are quoted per configuration, volume and destination.
Can you ship HOWO trucks to Nigeria, Saudi Arabia or Peru?
Yes. We ship by RoRo or in containers on FOB, CIF or DAP terms. Each truck travels with a commercial invoice, packing list with VINs, bill of lading, certificate of origin, Chinese export declaration and a per-unit inspection report with photos. Market notes: Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Peru.
Do you supply used Sinotruk HOWO trucks?
Yes. Tongda Motors is approved by the Chinese authorities to export used vehicles. Used HOWOs are photographed and inspected against the VIN before you pay. Many countries limit the age or emission level of imported used trucks, so check your rules first. See used trucks from China.
