THE BRAND
Longer wheelbases, built for the back seat.
Audi has worked with FAW since 1988 and, since 2021, also with SAIC. FAW Audi builds most of the range, including the A5L, A6L, Q3, Q5L and Q4 e-tron; Audi FAW NEV Company in Changchun builds the electric Q6L e-tron and A6L e-tron; SAIC Audi builds the A7L and Q5 e-tron in Anting, Shanghai, as well as the cars of AUDI, a separate China-only electric brand written in capitals and without the four rings.
The L in A5L, A6L or Q5L marks a wheelbase longer than the global model's, for more rear legroom: Audi quotes 77 mm extra on the A5L, 125 mm on the Q5L and 140 mm on the latest A6L. Size, equipment and software therefore differ from European-spec cars, which matters for homologation and parts. We confirm version, options and wheelbase per VIN on the quotation.

Options listed per VIN
China-market Audis come in local trims and option packages that do not match yours. We list the equipment of each car by VIN, not by trim name, and every unit is photographed and inspected against its VIN before you pay.
Zero-mileage and low-mileage used
Tongda is approved by the Chinese authorities to export used vehicles. Zero-mileage Audis are registered in China but never driven, so on paper they are used: check how your market classifies them. See used cars from China.
e-tron and AUDI batteries
Electric Audis ship with a battery state-of-health reading plus the UN38.3 test summary and MSDS. China-market cars are built for the GB/T charging network; the charging standard and software language are confirmed per model on the quotation. See electric cars from China.
Warranty and homologation
Factory warranty coverage outside China is not guaranteed for China-market Audis; confirm how your market treats it before ordering. All units are left-hand drive and meet China 6 emissions, broadly aligned with Euro 6, but homologation must still be checked per model.

Can I buy Audi cars directly from China?
Yes, as a dealer or fleet buyer ordering 10 units or more. Tongda Motors sources new, zero-mileage and used China-built Audis and ships them FOB, CIF or DAP with the full document pack. We are an independent exporter, not affiliated with Audi, FAW or SAIC, so check how your market treats parallel imports before ordering.
What does the L in A6L or Q5L mean?
It marks a long-wheelbase version built for China, with extra rear legroom. The car is longer than the European model and its equipment and software are set for China, so check homologation for the L version specifically, not just for the model name.
What is the AUDI brand without the rings?
AUDI, written in capitals and without the four rings, is a separate electric-car brand that Audi and SAIC created for China. Its first model is the E5 Sportback, followed by the E7X SUV, both built in Anting, Shanghai. They are China-market cars with no export version, so homologation in your market must be checked model by model.
