THE BRAND
Two joint ventures, one Toyota range.
Toyota builds cars in China through two joint ventures: GAC Toyota, whose plant is in Nansha, Guangzhou, and FAW Toyota, based in Tianjin. Each sells its own version of several core models, so one car can carry two names. The Levin is GAC Toyota's Corolla, the Frontlander its Corolla Cross and the Wildlander its RAV4, while FAW Toyota sells those three under their usual names and builds the Crown Kluger as its twin of the Highlander.
Alongside the hybrids, both ventures now sell China-only electric cars built with Chinese partners: the bZ3X SUV from GAC Toyota, and the bZ3 sedan and bZ5 SUV from FAW Toyota, co-developed with BYD. Every line of our quotation carries the China-market name, the VIN and the nearest export equivalent, so your customers know exactly which Toyota they are buying.

China-market names and specification
China-built Toyotas are China-market cars. Beyond the different names, engines and equipment can differ from the Toyota sold in your market: the Wildlander and China's RAV4, for example, are still offered with a non-hybrid 2.0-litre petrol engine, while the global RAV4 is hybrid-only. Each quotation states the exact version.
Left-hand drive and homologation
Every China-market Toyota is left-hand drive and meets China 6 emissions, broadly aligned with Euro 6. Whether a given model can be registered in your country is a homologation question: check it per model with your customs broker or vehicle authority before ordering.
Factory warranty outside China
Do not assume Toyota's factory warranty travels with a China-built car. Coverage in your market is not guaranteed and must be confirmed before you order, usually with the local Toyota distributor, so you can plan your own after-sales support.
Hybrid and EV battery checks
Hybrids and bZ electric models ship with a battery state-of-health reading, and the EVs also carry the UN38.3 test summary and MSDS that carriers require. For the bZ models, the charging standard and software language are confirmed per model on the quotation.

Can I buy Toyota cars directly from China?
Yes, as a dealer or fleet buyer ordering 10 units or more. Tongda Motors sources new, zero-mileage and used China-built Toyotas and ships them FOB, CIF or DAP with the full document pack. We are an independent exporter, not affiliated with Toyota, GAC Toyota or FAW Toyota, so check how your market treats parallel imports before you order.
Is the Toyota Levin the same car as the Corolla?
The Levin is GAC Toyota's version of the Corolla, with its own styling; FAW Toyota sells its version as the Corolla. The Frontlander and Corolla Cross, and the Wildlander and RAV4, are paired the same way. All are China-market cars, so we list engine, equipment and software language per VIN on the quotation, whichever name you order.
Do you export used and zero-mileage Toyotas?
Yes. Tongda Motors is approved by the Chinese authorities to export used vehicles, and ships zero-mileage and used Toyotas alongside new ones. Every unit is photographed and inspected against its VIN before you pay, and hybrids come with a battery state-of-health reading.
