THE BRAND
One plant, one city: Yancheng.
Every China-built Kia comes from Jiangsu Yueda Kia, Kia's joint venture with the Yueda group in Yancheng, Jiangsu province, formerly known as Dongfeng Yueda Kia. Kia owns half of it. Besides the China-market range, the plant builds export versions for other markets, including the EV5 electric SUV.
Most names match those used elsewhere, with a few exceptions. The Pegas is the small sedan sold as the Soluto in parts of Latin America, and the K3 is a compact sedan built for China. Every Kia we ship is China-market specification and left-hand drive, so engine, trim and equipment are confirmed per VIN on the quotation.

Before you order Kia.
China-market specification
Our Kias are built for China: left-hand drive, China 6 emissions (broadly aligned with Euro 6) and Chinese-market infotainment, with the software language confirmed per model on the quotation. Check homologation in your market model by model before ordering.
EV5 battery and charging
China-market EV5s are built for China's GB/T charging network, and the charging standard is stated on the quotation. Each unit ships with a battery state-of-health reading plus the UN38.3 test summary and MSDS that carriers require. See electric cars from China.
Warranty is not automatic
Factory warranty coverage for a China-market Kia is not guaranteed outside China. Confirm how your market treats it before you order, and plan local after-sales support on that basis.
Zero-mileage and used Kias
Zero-mileage Kias are registered in China but never driven; low-mileage used units come from dealer trade-ins and fleets. Each one is photographed and inspected against its VIN before you pay. See used cars from China.

Can I buy Kia cars directly from China?
Yes, as a dealer or fleet buyer ordering 10 units or more. Tongda Motors sources new, zero-mileage and used China-built Kias and ships them FOB, CIF or DAP from Nansha, Shekou or Guangzhou. We are an independent exporter, not affiliated with Kia or Yueda Kia, so check how your market treats parallel imports before ordering.
Is a China-built Kia the same as the one sold in my country?
Often the name is the same but the specification is not: engines, trims, equipment and software are set for the Chinese market. Yueda Kia also builds export versions for other markets, but the cars we supply are China-market units. We state the spec per VIN so you can compare it with what is homologated locally.
Which Kia models suit importers best?
Common requests are the Pegas and K3 for taxi and rental fleets, the Sonet and Seltos for compact-SUV buyers, the Sportage and Carnival for families, and the EV5 where charging is available. Tell us your market and we first check which models can be registered there.
